FROM THE EDITOR

DESTINATION: FENESTRATION

A glimpse of blue sky is all it takes for me to start thinking about holidays. I have a few booked this year, weekend breaks, bucket list gigs, a summer jaunt and a once-ina-lifetime USA road trip to name a few( with a milestone birthday coming up, it would be rude not to?) BUT before I can even think about any of those, there’ s one very important event to fit in …
» THIS MONTH’ S ISSUE MARKS THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF our official FIT Show guide, ahead of the main event at the end of the month. And as the show is a little earlier this year, there’ s no time to waste to plan your trip. This extra special feature brings together exhibitors and organisers to delve into the latest developments, premium products, launches and demonstrations that will take centre stage. Whether you’ re attending for the first time or returning for another year, our guide ensures you’ ll have the inside track on everything.
But that’ s not all – as you start packing for the NEC, this issue is also jam-packed with all the important updates and highlights of a very busy month. From glitzy awards ceremonies to game-changing product launches and open days, March has been a whirlwind for the Clearview team – and the whole sector.
We’ ll never complain about having too many invitations for events though. Every invite serves as an important reminder of how special the people and the products in fenestration are. Every event provides a new opportunity to celebrate the collective achievements of fabricators, manufacturers, suppliers, system houses, installers, designers, and engineers.
By coming together, we can share knowledge and learn new things, explore future opportunities and reminisce! From the largest stand to the smallest component, every part is so important. And, as press we get the unique opportunity to see a real life model of the pages of our magazines – all our customers and their customers under one roof.
See you next time – and at FIT of course, Gemma

FOUR! Clearview and Pro Installer announce 2025’ s annual golf day

Following three successful outings that have already raised almost £ 25,000 for Hope House Children’ s Hospices via GM Fundraising, Clearview Group is pleased to announce this year’ s charity golf day will take place on Thursday, 19th June at Hickleton Golf Club.

This year will be particularly important and poignant as Gary Morton takes a step back from GM Fundraising, a very well-known and much loved charity in fenestration. Clearview organisers are hoping this year’ s event will be on par with the previous three to add more pounds to the pot, as the players putt!
June’ s event will take on the the same format as previous years, with 18 teams of four players teeing off to a shot gun start; but not before breakfast butties in the clubhouse. After the round, it’ s back to base for the now famous Barnsley pie and chips, a few pints then it’ s time for the winners role call, with prizes for longest drive, nearest the pin, and beat the pro. And, as Quickslide now has a hat-trick of trophies under their belt, as undefeated winners of the overall prize, can your team be the first ones to beat them?
The raffle and auction comes after the prize giving, and if previous years are anything to go by, players will be in for a treat. As all teams bring a prize to contribute, past years have seen tickets to exclusive sporting events up for grabs- including Formula 1, Premier League hospitality, rugby and cricket, plus sky diving and wine tasting( not at the same time!), golf equipment, signed sports merchandise, gadgets and watches. Everyone can take part in the raffle and the auction, with
every single penny raised going straight to Hope House Children’ s Hospices.
Steve Sidebottom, Clearview director, event organiser and golf day host with the most, says:“ We’ ve been blown away by the attendance and generosity of the past three golf days. We’ re hoping 2025 will be extra special as Gary’ s final year raising money through GM Fundraising.
“ The day isn’ t just for golfers either. Come and join us in the clubhouse, while we wait for the players to return to the‘ 19th hole’ for drinks, dinner, awards and all raising vital donations for Hope House Hospice.”
