Not all windows are equal

One thing we can predict with absolute accuracy is that you are going to see a lot more of Jade in 2025 . Over the years we have cemented some strong relationships through our ability , and desire , to solve a variety of manufacturing problems that crop up in the industry . We all know that no two windows are the same , and that in itself creates problems on production lines that can not always be solved by the machinery suppliers .
That bespoke service has always been labour intensive , but is core to the Jade philosophy . As engineers we have always loved a challenge , and can spend many a happy hour examining , and resolving , the various issues that have crossed our desks over the last couple of decades ! However , in 2024 we invested heavily , in time and money , in expanding and refurbishing our own premises to scale this bespoke approach up and help problem solve for a lot more fabricators – both PVCu and aluminium .
Creating differentiation in products – both functionally and aesthetically – is key to a window manufacturer ’ s success . A smidgen change in sash size , joint finish , speed of production , ease of tool changes and a myriad of other production issues are what places one company ahead of another , and can make the difference between winning an order or contract , and coming up empty .
It is for this reason that we have been undergoing some internal shifts ourselves to ensure we are better positioned to support our customers in their product development journeys . We no longer refer to ourselves as Jade Engineering – much as we embrace the engineering element of our business and love the ethos of everything British when it comes to championing what goes on in our own factory units , it no longer accurately reflects what we do .
Rather we have created four separate divisions – Tooling , Machines , Fabrication and Consult – allowing us to dig deeper into the solutions we create for our

customers , and deliver those solutions in a much clearer , defined and professional manner .
We have big plans for 2025 and beyond . As well as refining the services we offer to PVC fabricators , we are also working more and more with aluminium fabricators , bringing that same vision of product specialisation and differentiation that has helped so many of the PVCu sector over the years .
In many ways we see our position in the industry as a conduit , channelling the energy , creativity and ambition of the systems houses , the fabricators , and the machinery suppliers , and supporting them in creating product solutions that can be manufactured efficiently and with healthy profit margins . With every passing year technologies evolve , window trends change and market demands fluctuate , and the ability to pivot and respond to ( or drive ) those market changes are what highlights the differences between a good company , and an excellent one !
British excellence in engineering , clear lines of communication , the ability to understand and follow nuances ,
geographical proximity – these are all essential when ironing out production issues inline with market expectations . Forget country by country differences in a homeowner ’ s preferences for a window – in the UK those differences can be region by region , based on historical and architectural preferences . Responding to these nuances in a flexible and efficient manner helps build a brand reputation that is essential to the long term prosperity of a company , and Jade Consult is designed to help inject that flexibility and efficiency into a production protocol .
Jade Machines exists not to compete with the main machinery companies in our industry , but to support them , as we have been doing for many years to date . Even so , there exist gaps within machinery functions that some of our small green boxes fulfil at a very low cost .
Suffice to say that 2025 is going to be a busy year , and we are looking forward to being out on the road and spending more time with you all .
