A great golf day with our Barnsley neighbours
» CLEARVIEW WAS PROUD TO support this year ’ s charity golf day with our Barnsley neighbour Thermal Trade Frames . Rob , Steve and Chris joined the golfers for a great day , and the event raised more than £ 4,000 to be split across two local charities . As organisers of an annual golf day ourselves – and having raised almost £ 25,000 in three years for GM Fundraising and Hope House Hospice , we are always happy to support similar events .
This year ’ s Thermal Trade Frames golf day was a brilliant opportunity to catch up with friends , meet new people , enjoy some great golf and of course make some money for two very worthy causes . Thanks to Paul Hardcastle for putting together another fantastic day and we ’ ll see you next year .
Thermal Trade Frames ’ Paul Hardcastle said : “ On behalf of Worsbrough Bridge CC and the Weston Park Cancer Charity I would like to thank you again for supporting the day . It was a great day ; in the end the weather blessed us and the course turned out to be in decent condition . And , I hope you all enjoyed the course and the Wortley hospitality .
“ In total we raised £ 4179 . Almost £ 2000 of that was raised on the day through on course contributions , the raffle and auction , ( many thanks to everyone that contributed raffle and auction prizes ). That ’ s a brilliant effort .
“ The money will be split with £ 2500 going to Weston Park Charity and £ 1679 used for developing junior cricket in the
Worsbrough community ; both worthy causes , I ’ m sure you ’ ll agree .
“ I think I have organised the event for five years now and this has been the best yet so thanks again . Same time next year ! The end of September is already booked with the club , and invitations will again be winging their way out in the new year . It`ll be good to see you all again .”

40th anniversary for trade fabricator
» LONGSTANDING ODL EUROPE fabricator Future Products is celebrating 40 years in business this year . Since its foundation in 1984 , it ’ s grown to become a leading supplier of composite doors , in addition to supplying PVCu and aluminium products to the trade .
Future Products began in a 1,000 sq ft facility in Mansfield , Nottinghamshire employing two people . Today , it ’ s still in Mansfield but now occupies a 67,000 square foot office and factory complex and employs 146 people .
The company was co-founded by Dennis Thorpe , who retired last year leaving the business in the safe hands of the longstanding leadership team , who took over as co-owners . As well as Stuart as Managing Director , the team is completed by Martin Lindsey as Operations Director , Chris Thompson as Sales Director and Andrew Francis as Finance Director .
Stuart Bower , Managing Director of Future Products , said : “ We ’ re proud to be continuing Dennis ’ legacy , especially his belief that people are at the heart of a business . We ’ d be nowhere without our internal team and the support of our external supply partners such as ODL Europe . They are integral to our success .”
As its 40-year milestone suggests , Future Products is one of the largest and longest-established manufacturers to the trade . All its products are manufactured by its skilled team using the latest production technology . As well as its fabrication plant , the company also toughens its own glass , giving it complete control over quality at every stage .
