‘ GAME CHANGER ’ MACHINE WILL BE FIRST IN UK
» EXPRESS BIFOLDING DOORS is once again leading the way when it comes to machinery investment , becoming the very first fabricator in the UK to order the latest version of Emmegi ’ s iconic 20 axis Quadra CNC . The next generation + Quadra arrives in the UK at the end of 2024 , and Express Bifolds will be blazing a trail with the first installation outside of Italy . Ian Latimer , Emmegi ( UK )’ s Managing Director , added : “ Express Bifolding Doors is one of our flagship factories with a vast array of Emmegi machines already , and now it will go up another level with the addition of the + Quadra .”
With 360 ° rotary based milling , drilling and tapping on four faces of the profile and 360 ° rotary cutting blade , the + Quadra does everything that the original Quadra can do , and more . It features dynamic counterblocks , for example , which can be programmed to recognise the profiles being selected and automatically adjust and set the vices , without needing to set up individual counterblocks each time . And it also has a new head and tail end milling module and cutter unit with variable rotation speed up to 8000rpm , as well as an automatic labelling module which can position the label on three sides of the profile .
Express Bifolding Doors already has a Quadra L1 20 axis CNC installed at its vast 200,000 sq ft Leeds factory , installed in 2016 . However , it was looking to upgrade that original CNC and invest in something even quicker and more capable .
Chris Smith , Express Bifolding Doors ’ Operations Director commented : “ We reviewed the quality cutting and machining centres from all the big names , but there was nothing which comes close to the + Quadra . It looks like a game changer for us because it ’ s got so much more functionality than what we have already , as well as more capacity and faster speeds . We ’ ll be able to extend unmanned cycles , with no unloading or repositioning needed and as a result massively increase throughput .”

Meticulous design for new machinery website

Highlights of the new site include sections for both PVC-U and aluminium machines , with valuable filters to help visitors find the machinery options available to them .
Alongside the complete range of innovative and high-quality Haffner machinery it supplies , Haffner is also the sole agent in the UK for Graf Synergy , which is world renowned for its seamless weld technology . It is also an agent for Fom Industrie , which specialises in high-quality aluminium machinery .
