When we first trialled the slide and stack door system at homebuilding shows around the UK to gauge consumer feedback , we know that we were on to a winner . But while the response was extremely positive , we realised that we could realise even more potential from the system , with even slimmer sightlines .
So , we invested more into R & D with Invisifold , to fine tune its slide and stack technology , and now combined with the Visofold slim system from Smart Systems , we have perfected a unique , high performance and truly compelling alternative to traditional bi-fold and sliding doors .
We now have the desirable , slim sightlines that homeowners aspire to , delivering that all important aesthetic appeal and maximum natural light , as well as a degree of flexibility in design that is just not achievable with bi-folds or sliders .
With Quick-Glide , each panel moves independently , offering a wide array of configuration possibilities , so homeowners can position them precisely to suit their preferences , open them up entirely for a complete indoor / outdoor living experience , or simply enjoy uninterrupted views when closed . Quick-Glide has massive end user appeal , but it ’ s also been designed for ease of installation , and to be low maintenance . That includes a new , slim-line Quick-Glaze bead that means faster fitting times and less time on site for busy installers .
And as Quick-Glide doesn ’ t use rollers , the doors are operated effortlessly on self-lubricating pads . This means that , other than the master door hinge , there are no moving parts , so there is much less chance of any hardware failure .
Of course , we have also worked hard to ensure that Quick-Glide measure up to the latest energy efficiency requirements and after extensive testing , we can confirm that it delivers Document L compliant energy performance for both refurbishments and new builds . And with triple glazing , we can offer Quick-Glide with a u-value as low as 1.3 .
Furthermore , Quick-Glide has undergone PAS 24 security testing , ensuring compliance for new build installations , providing added peace of mind for both homeowners and installers alike .
