Its aesthetics are second to none . It has a stunningly slim aluminium profile and a slimline interlock of just 35mm . Each sash can be up to 1675mm wide , so there are fewer sashes and wider glazed expanses . And because the outerframe seamlessly aligns with the sash , the door delivers a flush appearance that perfectly suites with other products in the Stellar Aluminium range . Thermal efficiency is similarly impressive . Intelligently designed polyamide thermal breaks deliver a U-value of 1.4 W / m ² K with 28mm double glazing and as low as 0.9 W / m ² K with triple glazing . At the same time , effective seals and

bespoke design features provide class-leading performance to BS 6375 standard .

The Stellar Aluminium Inline Sliding Door is available in a standard range of stocked colours or in any other made to order RAL finish . Textured , non-textured and dual colour options are available too , reflecting the latest colour palettes for project personalisation . All doors are QUALICOAT-approved

and come with a 25-year colour guarantee .

Two- and three-pane doors feature Yale ’ s six-hook locking system as standard . For fourpane doors , there ’ s a specially developed Yale 10-hook locking system . As a result , the Stellar Aluminium Inline Sliding Door is a PAS 24:2022 accredited system and meets Approved Document Q requirements as standard .

Because it ’ s a Stellar product , the Inline Sliding Door also benefits from Stellar ’ s renowned ease of installation . It uses pre-gasketed knock-in beads , which make sashes quick and easy to glaze , whilst providing a neat , high-end finish on the gasket line .

» GLAZERITE INSTALLER , Howard Yarnold Windows and Doors has put the finishing touches on a major installation as part of Nuneaton College ’ s drive to reduce carbon emissions , which also saw the college add solar panels , cavity wall insulation and more efficient radiators in three of its main buildings .

Established half a century ago , Howard Yarnold Windows & Doors has a large commercial and residential customer base across the West Midlands , Staffordshire , Worcestershire

and Warwickshire . While its aluminium products are fabricated in-house at Howard Yarnold ’ s city centre base , its uPVC work is outsourced to longstanding partner , the Glazerite UK Group .

The Nuneaton College project saw windows replaced across three separate study blocks on the site , with single glazed crittal steel windows replaced with more than 70 VEKA M70 windows in Anthracite Grey . The frames were fabricated by Glazerite at its Midlands Division in nearby Wellingborough .

Howard Yarnold Windows and Doors , which employs 35 people , is headed up by Anthony Niblett . He explains : “ The college wanted to look at ways to reduce its carbon footprint so installing double glazed uPVC windows was an ideal solution ; for energy efficient and improving heat retention .

“ The roof wasn ’ t sturdy enough to take the weight of scaffolding , so we installed some of the windows using a large , truck-mounted cherry picker . We were also only able to give Glazerite notice of the install dates shortly before the installation took place , but they rose to the challenge and delivered everything we needed on time .

“ We made the decision last year to cease in-house uPVC fabrication in favour of aluminium and Glazerite was the only

choice to pick up the work and help us fulfil uPVC orders going forward .”
