» IT IS ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC colours in the history of British Pottery , now Wedgwood Blue has been used as the inspiration for a new door colour launched this week .

Pottery Blue , the newest addition to the Solidor colour range , is based on the famous grey-blue colour of Wedgwood . This iconic pottery which was first established in Burslem - one of six towns in Staffordshire that now forms Stokeon-Trent - in 1759 . Also known as The Potteries , Stoke-on-Trent is also the home of the Solidor factory .

The distinctive Wedgwood blue is also the inspiration behind the signature colour of the Bridgerton family in Netflix hit Bridgerton , hues akin to this soft blue can be paired with neutral tones to create a subtle yet opulent entrance to any home .

One of three new colours launched by Solidor , Pottery Blue can be used to create a statement without being overpowering . Pebble Grey and Granite Grey were

also introduced to the range to provide homeowners with a full spectrum of greys to choose from .

Pebble Grey is one of the latest in-demand shades . Often described as a mid-taupe , this diverse colour not only lends itself to a host of exterior finishes , but its timeless nature makes it an ideal colour for blending seamlessly with many interior designs too .

Granite Grey provides an eye-catching but not overwhelming focal point for hallways . A softer alternative to Anthracite Grey , it offers the versatile benefits of a neutral grey pallet and can be used to complement a range of textures , colours and decors .

Following testing accredited by the British Fenestration Rating Council ( BFRC ), Unique ’ s Unifold brand of aluminium bifold doors has been certified as offering a door energy rating of C in accordance with Approved Document L .

The certification awarded to the Unifold range by the BFRC is significant . It demonstrates that the doors meet the energy efficiency requirements of the updated Part L of the Building Regulations for both new build

properties ( U-value of 1.6 ) and for replacement fenestration products installed on existing dwellings ( Energy rating Class C ).

The new BFRC ratings add to an already impressive list of benefits offered by the Unifold range . This includes exceptional versatility . Door panels can be stacked inside or outside of a room as well as to the left , right or split to stack on both sides . Door sets can also be manufactured to replace entire walls .
