Getting it right for customers
When it comes to setting high standards from one end of the supply chain to the other , then The Window Company ( Contracts ) is second to none .
Based in Chelmsford , The Window Company ( Contracts ) is a multiple award-winner , supplying and installing windows , doors and curtain walling systems in PVC-U , Timber and Aluminium primarily to the social housing and commercial new build sectors .
For over two decades , the reputation of The Window Company ( Contracts ) has soared as the company ’ s dynamic approach and exceptional workmanship has ensured customers were more than satisfied . The Window Company ( Contracts )’ business strategy focuses on building and maintaining long term relationships and when combined with their high-quality products and services , it ’ s no surprise that they are set apart from the competition .
The value of cultivating strong meaningful relationships is also clear to The Window Company ( Contracts )’ suppliers and contacts throughout the glazing supply chain . One such supplier is component manufacturer , Glazpart , who have supplied trickle vents to The Window Company ( Contracts ) for over ten years . In June 2022 , the relationship between the two companies grew even stronger when the Building Regulations ( Approved Document F – ventilation ) changed .
Being a conscientious company and putting their customers first , it was no surprise , The Window Company ( Contracts ) made sure they were ahead of the game and most importantly instantly compliant with the incoming legislation . Since the regulatory changes , all their windows have Glazpart ’ s Link Vent installed .
The ‘ Link Vent ’ range sizes include 5000 , 4000 and 2500 EQA . Equivalent Area ( EQA ) is the measure of the vents ’ airflow performance .
The vents are designed to fully comply with building regulations , Approved document F1 ( means of ventilation ).
With a clever design that is simple and user-friendly for both opening and closing - the Link Vent ’ s innovative closing action allows the closure plate to be positioned so that it reduces draughts by directing air away from occupants .
The Link Vent 4000 and 5000 closure plate is split to allow for partial ( 50 %) opening and greater ease of opening of the ventilator .
The Link Vent also has rounded ends of the vent to allow for installation on timber windows and it ’ s available in either screw or clip in fixing types - the design eliminates the need for end caps whilst the clip fix design ( Pawl ’ s ) allows for a fast , easy vent installation .
With smart design , easy fitting , and functionality as well as a huge choice of 1000s of colours and decorative finishes , it ’ s easy to see why The Window Company ( Contracts ) decided to use the Link Vent for its extensive range of windows and doors .
David Thornton , Chair of The Window Company ( Contracts ) commented , “ We have been applying Glazpart products for many years , so when the regulations came into force last year , it was a very easy process to comply . Every window and door we install now includes the Link Vent and our customers really like it . Of all the trickle vents we ’ ve ever installed in our windows and doors , the Link Vent is the one that has been the best received by homeowners . It simply ticks every box , aesthetically pleasing , vast colour range , and a smart design that redirects the airflow two ways . It ’ s an absolute winner .” Dean Bradley , Sales Director , Glazpart added , “ As a long-time supplier to The Window Company ( Contracts ), it was pleasing to see that not only have they embraced the new regulations but also our award-winning Link Vent range – which clearly works at every level of the supply chain and right through to homeowners and tenants . We are pleased our partnership with The Window Company ( Contracts ) is going from strength to strength and naturally we welcome them to our new Glazpartners programme – which is an exclusive marketing initiative for the best Glazpart customers .”
