Tenth Annual Network Golf Day

» ON THURSDAY 18TH MAY , Conservatory Outlet welcomed members from across its Premium Retail Network to North Lanarkshire for its annual golf day . The event is one of the most-respected competitions in the calendar and , now in its tenth iteration , it is one of the longest-running too .
Held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Westerwood , the tournament saw entrants from across the United Kingdom vie for both team and individual honours . “ This year marked the first time that we ’ ve taken our annual Golf Open north of the border , and it was fantastic to see such a healthy representation from our Scottish premium retailers . With it being the tenth time we ’ ve run competition , we felt it was only right to head to the ‘ home of golf ’ to celebrate .” said Greg Kane , Conservatory Outlet .
“ Our annual Network Golf Open is a much-loved event that everyone in the Conservatory Outlet Network looks forward to . It also allows our Premium
Retail Partners to come together for a competitive round of golf and discuss strategies with other like-minded businesses .
“ It really does show the collective strength of our Network , which is second to none ,” Greg added .
The weather provided a customary mix of cloud and sunshine , with the local course pro describing the temperature as ‘ Scottish warm ’. Throw in a blustery wind , thick rough and the course , designed by Seve Ballesteros , played tough .
But those conditions didn ’ t deter Amber Home Improvements , who ran away to secure the overall team prize , seeing off strong competition from across the UK .
Justin Brown of Bon Accord triumphed in the Nearest the Pin competition , whilst Steve Ormand of DigitalKOG took the honours for the day ’ s longest drive .
“ We ’ re thrilled to have won the Conservatory Outlet Network Golf Open Day ,” commented Amber Home Improvement ’ s Sales Director , Paul Edwards .
“ It ’ s always a fantastic event , and this year ’ s competition was no different . A huge thank you to Conservatory Outlet for organising another enjoyable day . We ’ re already looking forward to defending our crown next year .”

BOOST YOUR SALES WITH INNOVATIVE AUGMENTED REALITY APP

» THROUGHOUT OUR daily lives , we encounter and interact with a plethora of digital technologies – we ’ re constantly glued to our smartphones which keep us connected to the internet at all times , and even our homes have become smart , delivering entertainment and security at the convenient touch of a button .
It ’ s no surprise then that technology is one of the fastest growing sectors out there , and within the glazing industry ,
several technology solutions have come to the fore in recent years .
One is vsHome AR , an innovative app that allows installers to share product designs directly to their customer ’ s phone or tablet , where they can use augmented reality to explore their potential purchase before making a commitment .
Designed by Production Software Technology ( PST ), vsHome AR works as a
companion app to vsHome , the company ’ s innovative sales platform that has been designed specifically for installers . vsHome is an advanced yet simple to use sales and surveying software solution where you can design , visualise , and price a wide range of products such as windows , doors , conservatories , garden rooms and more . With an integrated 3D editor and simple to use drag and drop tools , installers can bring their customers ’ ideas to life .
PST Managing Director Neil Travers comments : “ With the development of vsHome , we needed to take this a step further in order to allow installers to complete the sales process using modern augmented reality technology . Through vsHome AR , then , installers can share their designs with
customers , and with multiple viewing modes , homeowners can either scale the model to a life size representation on the side of their home , or place it on a tabletop . Once the model has been placed , the user can lock it down and move around it using their smartphone or tablet as the viewpoint .
“ With vsHome AR , installers can add a real wow factor to their sales visits , giving potential customers more control over their investments , increasing their conversion rates , and potentially growing their business . The software is set to revolutionise the glazing industry , helping installers grow and improve as we move towards a new digital world .”
