» ALUMINIUM SPECIALIST FRAMEX has doubled its capacity with a brandnew machining centre . The equipment forms part of an overall £ 400,000 investment as part of the firm ’ s ambitious plans for growth and will further enhance its offering and service for its customers .
Lancashire-based FRAMEX manufactures and supplies aluminium windows , doors and commercial glazing at its
Waterfoot facility . The Elumatec SBZ118 machining centre is the second CNC machine in 12 months for the site , which manufactures an average of 140 windows and doors per week .
FRAMEX ’ s customer base includes architects , builders and property developers across the North of the UK , with the firm crafting windows and doors manufactured from Senior Architectural Systems profile as well roof lanterns from Korniche .
Tim Mooney , FRAMEX ’ s Managing Director , says of the investment : “ Demand
for our products is growing quickly so we decided to bring the investment forward to meet the needs of our customers . The Elumatec SBZ118 is a great piece of kit that makes production more precise and more efficient . It ’ s also compact and fast ; just what we needed so that we could double up on our machining capacity .

FRAMEX has grown significantly since the firm was established in 2020 . The supplier manufactures a range of products including bi-folds and sliding doors as well as slimline windows and commercial doors . The company has plans in place to grow its portfolio further this year with the addition of several new products .
