A month has passed since FIT Show 2023 . We caught up with FIT Show event director , Nickie West to explore her highlights from the tenth-year anniversary edition of the industry ’ s leading event .
Did FIT Show 2023 deliver what you expected it to in terms of numbers ?
We ’ re still analysing all of the data from the show and will be able to share the full report in July . The preliminary figures on attendance across the three days of FIT Show 2023 are really encouraging , with a total of 9,397 visitors . The fact that we have held our audience figures steady despite running two years back-to-back is extremely encouraging . It shows that there is a genuine appetite , and indeed need , for our industry platform .
We ’ re in the process of collating feedback from our exhibitor and visitor surveys and will be working hard with our stakeholders between now and FIT Show 2025 ( 29th April to 1st May ) to ensure that we continue to serve our community , building on the success of the last decade of FIT Show . I ’ m looking forward to being able to share more details in the coming weeks .
What has the feedback been like since the show ?
We ’ ve had fantastic feedback since the show . From the moment the show opened , we were inundated with compliments about how amazing the show looks . Our exhibitors really did pull out all the stops with the stand they built , campaigns they delivered and products they showcased . The show looked great from every angle .
We tracked brilliant engagement across digital platforms , with many people dubbing FIT Show 2023 ‘ the best one yet ’. And we also had a lot of positive feedback on the ground from people saying how much they ’ d enjoyed the show , how strong the leads they had captured were , how much they ’ d enjoyed the late-night event and how many new and innovative products they ’ d seen .
Our post show surveys for exhibitors and visitors have just closed so we ’ ll be analysing these over the coming weeks to identify any areas for improvement . FIT Show 2025 might feel like a long way off , but we ’ re already in the throes of developing the next campaign and this feedback plays a vital role in shaping the next FIT Show .
I think the fact that so many brands , even after day one of the show this year , have signed up to exhibit at FIT Show 2025 is testament to the success of FIT Show 2023 . I won ’ t list them all individually , but some of the first to rebook included Morley Glass & Glazing , Haffner , ODL , Business Pilot and FIT Show debut brands Whitesales and Caribbean Blinds to name a few .
What were the key highlights from the show for you ?
There were so many highlights , and this was an extra special edition given that it was a full ten years since FIT Show launched . I was thrilled to see so many of our FIT Show Patrons , a special campaign designed to reward some of our key supporters over the years , wearing their Patron badges with pride .
We always knew that the second day of FIT Show would probably draw the most visitors due to the late-night opening , but I was blown away with just how busy it was across all three days . The atmosphere on site was electric and the late-night party was a real celebration of everything we have achieved together , as an industry , over the last decade .
I ’ m always impressed by the number of new products and innovations on display , and this year ’ s event did not disappoint . FIT Show 2023 was a true showcase of the very best from across the industry . It was also brilliant to see a growth in overseas brands exhibiting , a clear indication of the strength of the UK market .
The quality of the stands was another highlight . Our exhibitors pulled out all of the stops to deliver a first-class showcase . The show looked amazing which made for a brilliant visitor experience .
Which show features proved most popular ?
We were really pleased with how well received our new Installer Hub was , and we ’ re already looking at ways to build on and improve this for FIT Show 2025 . This feature was launched to reflect demand from visitors to see live product demonstrations . Visitors were able to watch
