30 YEARS LATER …

Still marching on and still bucking the trend

When you listen to our customers – and competition – one word sums up their thoughts about Keyframe as a company : Quality . A quality company manufacturing a quality product . A company that in every aspect of its operations is driven from the top by a continuing desire to achieve excellence in everything that it does .

This ethos has been paramount right from the first day the company set up and is as strong now than it was then , if not stronger . Over this 30-year span , we have seen significant changes in the industry and the design features that architects build into new homes .
Different shapes and colours have seen a massive surge in their popularity , building regulations have developed to include more thermally efficient windows and doors , increased ventilation requirements , lowering acoustic sound levels etc . Companies have had to react to this or get left behind .
On top of this , we have been through the COVID period with shortages in supply , the inability to source materials , with constant enquires from companies that had never bought from us , who were struggling to source frames etc .
One could say that it was a ‘ turbulent ’ time , while others would say it ’ s been extremely hard to manage . Through all this Keyframe managed to maintain its main objective : to supply a quality product with a service to match .
There are many factors to this continuing success , but one of the key elements is that the company is not greedy . It does not have a policy to “ pile it high and sell it cheap ”; flooding our factory with high

volume sales at ridiculously cheap prices . We believe that when your unique selling point is the lowest price , it creates an array of problems for the customer base ; leaving them disillusioned and in need to seek an alternative supplier .
One could coin a phrase by Benjamin Franklin : “ The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten .”
Keyframe ’ s policy is to build long lasting relationships with its customers and prioritise existing loyal customers over and above chasing new business . We pride ourselves with a high level of industry experience that our key members of staff possess . This allows our customers to get clear and precise advice on any queries they may have . We give the care and attention-to-detail customer orders deserve ; ensuring that what the customer orders is what they receive . Deliveries come on the day that they are programmed for delivery , allowing the customer to carry out their installations hassle-free , on the day that they are scheduled , without constantly having to chase shortages or address quality issues with frames .
All of this it comes at a cost , and it has taken considerable investment by the owners of the company to ensure that they have the latest technologically advanced machinery in place , a highly skilled workforce on the shop floor and a constantly updated fleet of delivery vehicles in place . Nothing is left to chance . Whilst the industry is reporting that it has seen many organisations suffering a significant decline in their levels of business , Keyframe is bucking the trend . Its approach to business appears to have paid dividends with constantly high levels of orders on a week-to-week basis .
The companies that took on new business ultimately bit off more than they could chew and ended up providing poor quality and service not only to the customers they took on but also their existing customer base . They are now suffering . Some customers made the move to Keyframe , paid that little bit extra and they have enjoyed unparalleled levels of service and quality . We know there is still the temptation of cheaper prices , but this is far outweighed by the memories they have of the constant problems that they suffered from their previous suppliers . Even so , we need to ensure that we stay on top of our game and don ’ t let our high standards slip .
