» JADE ENGINEERING LTD , THE UK window and door industry ’ s preeminent machinery and machine tool manufacturer , has purchased a 30,000 feet 2 ( 2,800 metres 2 ) industrial property it that is destined to become the Coventry-based firm ’ s headquarters from the end of 2023 .

Located just metres from the company ’ s current main Bayton Road , Coventry premises , the new building will allow most of the company ’ s operations and 50-plus staff to be located under the same roof , consolidated from three other sites currently occupied . This includes machine tool manufacture and manufacturing operations for the company ’ s specialist , single purpose frame fabrication machines . Sheet metal production will continue in a separate 6,000 feet 2 unit close by .

The new premises , which are located on a four-acre , secure site will encourage the natural efficiencies gained by consolidating key operations under a single roof , in addition to providing room for growth and

space for new , complementary enterprises . The building caps a proactive five-year period during which a number of companies have been acquired , including SALtech Machinery and Edgwick Sheet Metal , that bring all complementary operations under the control of Sean Mackey and Adam Jones , who have owned the business for the past 14 years .

The partners believe that ‘ Made in Britain ’ provides substantially more than a sentimental catch phrase with the experiences of COVID still fresh in memories : “ Covid and other global issues have combined to cause interruptions to imports , especially from the Far East , whilst we were able to continue virtually uninterrupted . Manufacturing everything locally has provided significant advantages ,” explained Sean Mackey . “ Jade Engineering has grown stronger through our ability to manufacture everything ourselves . Our new building will further strengthen our business by housing most

of our operations under the one roof whilst also giving us room to expand .”

It is anticipated that consolidation of all relevant Jade Engineering operations into the new building will be completed by the autumn .

The company which owns brands including Endurance Doors , Impressions , One Door , and Rocal Extrusions , is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023 .

Formed in 1993 and initially focused exclusively on the production of premium quality door panels , Rocal has continued to grow and evolve over the last three decades .

In 2001 , the business moved to its current six-acre manufacturing site in North Lincolnshire which provided additional room for it to expand and diversify .

By 2012 , Rocal had extended its offer to include high-end composite doors , uPVC external door panels , uPVC internal doors and bespoke plastic extrusions .

Rocal attributes its continuing success over the last thirty years to many equally important factors , all of which are central
