» KNOWSLEY BASED DAWS ( Door and Windows Systems ) continues to increase production , with the purchase of a second AMC308 Automatic CNC Machining Centre – the sixth Kombimatec machine to join its operations in three years .
Smarts Systems fabricator DAWS specialises in high-performance aluminium doors , windows , bi-folds and sliding doors purely to trade customers . The latest Kombimatec addition to its operations will help the business continue on its quality first , cost-effective growth trajectory .

The AMC308 3 + 1 Axis Machining Centre features an easy to use and intuitive touchscreen interface and full automatic cycle programmed with built-in macros . A 5HP electro spindle , inverter driven to 18,000rpm , makes it ideal for routing aluminium and light steel profiles . It also has an ISO30 Quick Change Tool Holder and automatic tool change cabinet , workbench rotation of 0-90-180 degrees , and both front- and end-loading options for longer profiles .

SECOND EDGE BANDER INVESTMENT
» ODL EUROPE HAS taken delivery of its second edge banding machine , which further increases the company ’ s composite door prepping capacity . The innovative Fravol Fast Series 625-23 machine offers exceptional reliability allowing ODL Europe to efficiently scale up their door prepping capacity in line with demand . This flexible service ranges from simple sizing of the doors on the beam saw to a fully prepped door service with or without edge banding . Bryan said : “ Our in-house facility allows a degree of flexibility , and we can offer as much prepping as is needed . Prepping of our market-leading TriSYS™ glazing cassette and Capstone door slab can be carried out together for total product consistency .”
