New dual foils for vertical sliders
» QUICKSLIDE HAS STARTED THE new year in style with the launch of additional colour options , including exclusive dual foils for vertical sliders .
A brand new 18,500ft 2 dedicated foiling facility has given the leading doors and windows manufacturer the ability to increase its in-house foiling capacity by 30 %, and to bring out more new colourways quickly as trends change .
Quickslide surveyed their trade partners to help inform the decision for the new colour selection . Respondents were asked which dual colours they thought had the greatest sales potential , as well as their thoughts on what foiled finish might be most likely to increase sales in the next 12 to 24 months .
“ Based on these responses we ’ ve launched our new colours ,” said Quickslide ’ s Managing Director Ben Weber , “ and we ’ re most excited about our dual colours for VS , which are now available in exterior / interior combinations
Dedicated delivery fleet provides customers with consistent service
of grey woodgrain / heritage white and agate grey / heritage white .
“ We ’ ve also included a white woodgrain / smooth white option for VS from stock , as well as launching smooth grey available across the entire Deceuninck range .”
Of the foils Quickslide currently offers , the survey revealed white woodgrain remains a top choice with customers along with agate and anthracite greys , which is reflected in the new colour options . Cream woodgrain , Chartwell green and black foils were also highlighted as top sellers , followed by golden oak , rosewood and Irish oak .
“ Overwhelmingly , our survey showed our partners find foiled finishes an easy upsell to customers , which is why it is so important we respond by keeping our colour offerings fresh and up-to-date ,’ said Ben . “ And having in-house foiling capability and recently moving this to a dedicated and expanded facility gives us the capacity and ability to react to new colour trends quickly and cost-effectively .

to outsource to a third-party delivery company many years ago however now we don ’ t have to rely on couriers for 95 % of our deliveries , which minimises damages , provides traceability , and gives us complete control .

Hurst ’ s distribution has been helped by a recent £ 200K investment in a new 430sqm extension to its 50K sq ft manufacturing facility in Hull . This has enabled the business to provide a greater consistency of service in its dispatch of PVC panels and composite doors . The extension features a dedicated loading area for the fleet of 24 vans to be loaded overnight ready for the next day .
“ We have built our reputation on our OTIF , which is currently at 99.8 % on panels and 97 % on composites . This investment will make it easier to achieve our 99.9 % targets and reassure customers that we are doing everything we can to increase and ensure consistency of service ,” explained Mark .
