LIAM TO RUN LONDON MARATHON 2023 FOR CHARITY
» AN ORDER PROCESSOR AT SPEcialist aluminium fabricator CDW Systems is set to run the London Marathon next year to raise money for Leukaemia Care UK – and is appealing for help in reaching their target . The 32-year-old hopes to hit his target of £ 2,500 for the charity and raise awareness of the work it does across the country .
Liam said : “ It will be my third time running the marathon , once for children
with cancer and this will be the second time for Leukaemia Care , but that was a while ago and I am excited and looking forward to the challenge . Any donation big or small with make a massive difference to this amazing charity .”
Leukaemia Care UK is dedicated to ensuring that everyone affected by leukaemia and related blood cancer types – such as myelodysplastic syndromes ( MDS ) and myeloproliferative neoplasms ( MPN ) – receives the best possible diagnosis , information , advice , treatment and support .

INCREASED FLEET TO SUPPORT BUSINESS GROWTH
» LONGSTANDING EPWIN WINDOW Systems ’ fabricator Universal Trade Frames has added eight new trucks to its transport fleet to support its continued business growth . The brand-new Renault easiLoader trucks , form part of a 10-strong fleet of vehicles to further strengthen their busy nationwide customer schedules .
Duncan Saunders , General Manager at Universal Trade Frames , said : “ We needed to increase our fleet . At the same time , we took the opportunity to replace some of the older vehicles that had become less economical to run . In today ’ s climate , it makes good business sense to invest in newer , modern vehicles that are better

Obituary Announcement From GQA Qualifications
Mike Morris , GQA ’ s Chairman since its inception in 2002 has passed away after a short illness .
» WITH A BACKGROUND AS A trained engineer working in industry and then for a large part of his career working in education , Mike was perfectly placed to understand the huge value of training and qualifications in raising standards to support both the personal and professional development of individual employees .
Having become Chairman , he oversaw the sustained growth of GQA from a small single sector awarding body to the organisation it is today , providing over two hundred industry-relevant qualifications delivered through over two hundred Approved Centres in sixteen sectors .
Commenting , Mick Clayton , CEO of GQA said :
“ Everyone here at GQA sends our condolences to Mike ’ s wife , Jane , his two sons and his two grandchildren . He will be sadly missed .”
For much of the time that Mike chaired the GQA board , Justin Ratcliffe also served as a GQA Director . Justin was elected as Chairman when Mike retired from his role earlier this year .
