In 2020 , the company received the prestigious Queen ’ s Award for Enterprise for its exceptional international trade .

THE FIRST 10 YEARS : INTRODUCING A NEW PRODUCT AND SERVICE
In the first 10 years of business , Origin grew significantly due to its unique product and service offering . In fact , by 2012 , it was manufacturing over 10,000 bi-fold doors a year at its High Wycombe factory .
The Origin Bi-fold Door , a cleverly designed door with a distinctive free-glide running system , became iconic for its quality , design , and ability to offer uninterrupted views from the home .

Unbeatable service has also fuelled growth . In 2010 , Origin became the first manufacturer in the industry to remove lead times , giving Partners the power to dictate exactly when the needed products delivered , even within tight deadlines . The ‘ Your Lead Time , Not Ours ’ promise set Origin above the competition and supported Partners in a way never seen before .
THE SECOND DECADE : INVESTMENT IN INNOVATION
After 12 years focussing on bi-fold doors , 2014 marked a turning point . The company launched its first window ( OW-80 ), a fully customisable aluminium system . In true Origin style , this excelled in design ; it was the first to feature an internal and external flush casement , and to offer Aerogel , a powerful insulator to achieve unrivalled energy ratings .
In the years that followed , Origin became unstoppable in launching new , innovative products to help partners accommodate whole house projects . This included a

slimline bi-folding door and window for slim sightlines and ultra-low U-Values , while retaining Origin ’ s unique security features .
The Origin Residential Door launched in 2016 , while Origin introduced its first internal system this year . The customisable Internal Door ( OI-30 ) provides an elegant way to divide space .
In 2017 , Origin began manufacturing sliding doors . The Inline Slider ( OS-20 ) has huge panel sizes and ultra slim sightlines of just 20mm . Origin ’ s Patio Sliders ( OS-44 and OS-77 ) are architecturally striking variations of traditional patio doors , while the latest addition ( OS-29 ) is the slimmest semi-dry glazed patio door available with an impressive 29mm sightline .
Origin has also built a reputation for exceptional service . In 2016 , the company introduced its revolutionary ‘ Sale Safe ’ software so partners can accurately quote and order in minutes , while a dedicated commercial team helps them win bigger , multi-site projects . Significant investment in a new 55,000sq ft facility has increased stock capacity by 82 percent , so Origin can always guarantee its zero-lead-time promise .
