DAN ’ S THE MAN FOR FABRICATED SALES
» DAN WRAGG IS THE HEAD OF THE specialist fabricated sales division at KÖMMERLING for their vertical sliding sash window and for the entire WarmCore range of hybrid window and door systems , all of which can now achieve a U-value of 1.3-1.4 W /( m 2 K ) with a standard double-glazed unit .
With recent investment in the internal department and with a proven background in specialist products , Dan will be looking to support the current KÖMMERLING and profine customer base with specialist fabricated products . As part of a wider role , he will also look across the group at other technically-led windows and doors that require specialist manufacturing expertise and dedicated capital equipment .
Dan commented : “ Given the specialist nature of these products from a manufacturing perspective , it ’ s too much for some companies to invest given the capital requirements and potential long payback period . We ’ ve got a seamless process from enquiry through to manufacture and delivery , with the promise of marketing support and much more .”
New President for CAB
» AT THE ASSOCIATION ’ S RECENT AGM held at the Carden Park Hotel , Chester , Mo Panam handed over the Presidency of the Council for Aluminium in Building to CAB Board Director Peter Dziurzynski . Mo has spent eleven years as CAB ’ s President and seen the Association through many challenges and changes and was thanked by the Board and Members present for the support he has given the Association in the last decade .
Peter has spent over thirty years in the aluminium industry , working for multi-national plc ’ s and SMEs , being involved in most aspects of aluminium including extrusions , rolled products and castings . Peter started his working life in the automotive industry but also spent time in aerospace , food packaging , nuclear and super alloy manufacturing as well as attaining over thirteen years ’ experience in the construction industry . Fenestration Pro Promoted to Technical Services Director
» UAP , THE SPECIALIST IN LOCKS and hardware for doors and fenestration , has appointed Julian Roberts to the role of technical services director .
A fenestration sector professional with more than 30 years ’ experience in the industry , Julian has been part of the team at UAP Fullex for more than 20 years , and since 2020 has been product certification manager across all five UAP brands . His
European teams , including time spent working in Madrid . Peter was appointed Managing Director of The Parkside Group in 2009 and led a management buyout of the company in 2015 . His hobbies include walking , cycling and golf .

promotion as a non-executive board member reflects UAP ’ s company culture of nurturing talent and promoting from within , adding to a robust leadership team , many of whom have risen through the ranks at UAP .
Julian takes over from John McLoughlin , who will remain involved in the company ’ s product development activities as a consultant , following his retirement at the end of April . Julian was responsible for setting up the Fullex testing facility and operating it as a UKASaccredited testing laboratory for several years . As technical services director , Julian will be responsible for co-ordinating UAP ’ s technical services team and working with colleagues across the business to progress new product development projects and provide technical support to both colleagues and customers .
