‘ FIT and ready ’ for 2023 show

» THE UK ’ S LEADING integral blinds manufacturer Morley Glass has signed up to exhibit at the 2023 FIT Show with plans to create its biggest and best stand ever .
After a hugely successful show in May , the company behind the Uni-Blinds ® brand has already booked a larger 140 sq . m stand for the 2023 event , which it will use to create a bespoke stand packed with even more products and demo areas , plus increased space for meeting and networking with customers , suppliers and industry stakeholders .
Ian Short , MD of Morley Glass said : “ The 2022 FIT Show was a phenomenal success for us . Re-connecting with so many familiar faces and having the opportunity to get to know new customers after the disruption caused by pandemic was amazing .
“ So looking ahead , we wanted to sign up for the 2023 FIT Show immediately and develop our plans for even bigger and better presence . This will include another raft of exciting new products to launch to the UK fenestration sector which are currently under development .”

Hardware giant headlines ‘ key ’ event

» INDUSTRY GIANT YALE has been announced as the Headline sponsor for this year ’ s Glazing Summit .
The event , which takes place on Tuesday , October 18 at Edgbaston Stadium , Birmingham , was a sell-out at the same venue last year as the industry got together for the first time in 18 months .
And with event organisers promising the one-day conference will be bigger and better this year , Paul Atkinson , Managing Director of Yale explained why the company has sponsored the event from its inception and is headline sponsor for the second year in a row .
“ Last year ’ s Glazing Summit offered professional value , having supported it since its inception in 2018 you can really see how it is evolving and developing into a key industry event in the annual calendar ,” said Paul .
“ What makes it so relevant is that it ’ s the only industry event where it ’ s not just about selling products , it ’ s about the industry getting together to professionalise , promote and share best practice and understand what the challenges are that we are all facing at all levels of the industry supply chain .”

More than £ 4,000 donated to children in need

» AFTER DONATING OVER £ 4,000 IN the past year , Emplas installer Global Windows has renewed its partnership with Bluebell Wood Children ’ s Hospice .
Last May , Global Windows pledged to donate £ 5 to the hospice for every window and door installation carried out , helping to support children with life-threatening illnesses , as well as their families .
Last August , the company also sponsored a hole in one competition at the Bondhay Golf Club Captains Charity Golf Day , an event that helped to raise over £ 6,700 for the charity .
Global Windows Managing Director Liam Hulme comments : “ We are dedicated to providing local homeowners with quality products and services , but helping our community and vulnerable children in need is also paramount , which is why we ’ re delighted to have pledged another year of donations to Bluebell .”
Since 2008 , Bluebell Wood has been supporting children with life-threatening illnesses , both in their own homes and at their hospice in North Anston . It costs the hospice almost £ 14,000 a day to keep its doors open , 85 % of which is completely reliant on donations .
