FROM THE EDITOR

What ’ s new for 2022 ?

Happy new year from all at Clearview and welcome to the first issue of 2022 . We ’ ve refreshed the look of the magazine recently and we hope you like the new design . It ’ s not all about the way it looks though , we ’ re working on new features and article ideas to keep up with changing landscape of our industry , and the world in general .

Inside the industry , almost all trade press content can be pegged to people , products and processes . We delve into these three areas each and every month through people : interviews , ‘ movers and shakers ’, expert columns ; products : design and development , exhibitions and expos , standards and systems ; processes : machines , marketing , business acumen , practical tips and so on . This year , we ’ ve focused our new feature ideas on this ‘ holy trinity ’ with the brand-new Company Hero interview and Skills section ; which we launched in Autumn 2021 . ‘ My Perfect Product ’, which begins in February will turn the spotlight onto some of our industry ’ s most loved inventions and innovations , while Clear Views & Issues will incorporate all three ( sometimes all at the same time ) with open and frank discussion and debates on the hottest topics in our industry .
Collaboration and communication are key to all of this , so we ’ d love to hear your feedback on all of the above . When it comes to the new features , we hope to cover a broad spectrum of people , products and processes so if you want to get involved , then please get in touch . Hopefully this year we will be able to see more of our customers , whether at their sites , through shows , or even socially . At time of print , we are all still unsure of what the near future will bring with government guidelines and restrictions , and while we will never be sure of what ’ s around the corner , keeping communication open and honest has proved to be the best course of action .
Taking into consideration everything that has happened over the past two years , ‘ expect the unexpected ’ can be considered as three words that sum it up best . That said , this year ’ s Annual Predictions is jampacked with many familiar faces of fenestration from every single sector you could imagine . And , if you have your own predictions for the year ahead – or maybe you think it ’ s wiser to focus on a shorter timeframe – I wonder if you agree with your peers over these pages or have a different point of view to put across . Either way we ’ d love to hear from you .
See you next time , Gemma
