Annual Predictions

A RELIABLE SUPPLIER DURING TOUGH TIMES

MICHAEL HEWITT , SALES DIRECTOR , AT PRECISION
» DURING A PERIOD PLAGUED WITH supply chain issues , material shortages and price increases , we ’ ve managed to weather the storm and sustain a ‘ business as usual ’ service throughout 2021 , maintaining a steady 99.9 % OTIF score throughout the year , along with a minimal 6 % price increase on our products .
It ’ s all down to a careful combination of strong relationships with our suppliers across the UK , Portugal and China , and a factory expansion which saw us ramp up production and increase our stockholding , giving us the capacity to hold at least three months ’ worth of stock at all times , meaning our customers have never fallen short .
All of the above has also contributed to a very impressive 342 % annual sales increase .
Since opening our doors , aluminium fabricators have been able to access our Everglide range of bi-fold hardware , our Everseal range of gaskets , as well as our new range of plastic ancillaries from us – everything they need to manufacture a bi-fold door , bar the actual profile and glass . In addition , by sourcing their hardware directly from us , our customers are essentially cutting out the middle man and setting themselves up to save thousands of pounds a year .
We ’ ve very much welcomed the boom in demand the industry has seen , and we expect this to continue well into 2022 .
The supply chain crisis , material shortages and price increases are all bound to settle down , but until then , with our high-quality ranges , excellent quality control and commitment to good service , we ’ re well equipped to keep our customers happy into the new year and beyond .

A PROMISING FUTURE AHEAD

GARY MORTON , CEO , CENTRAL WINDOW SYSTEMS
» THE PAST TWO YEARS HAVE BEEN an interesting period for the glazing industry , and at Central Window Systems , we ’ ve of course not been immune to the disruption . Despite the many challenges , we ’ ve reached the end of 2021 having managed to keep up with demand and navigate our way around supply chain and price pressure issues , while at the same time , investing in and adapting the business in preparation for a continued surge and a stable position moving into the new year .
We started off the year by merging our PVCu and aluminium divisions , consolidating into a full-solution fabricator ready to serve customers across the board .
We also expanded our manufacturing facility to 52,000 square feet , invested in our staff , and most recently , expanded our aluminium division to better serve
domestic installers , growing both our product portfolio and our customer base . A combination of Brexit and the pandemic created a boom in the industry which we do not see slowing down anytime soon . This is why we have decided to invest in the business , positioning Central as a growing fabricator ready to face the challenges head on , and come out the other side of this period as a thriving and successful company .
‘ ready to serve customers across the board ’
I certainly think the industry has got some huge challenges ahead , but I think as long as the current demand maintains itself , and the supply chain repairs itself – which I believe it will – then we ’ re in for a promising future .
