Annual Predictions

The go-to machinery expert

If 2020 was the year of lockdown , 2021 was the year of the bounce back . And it was quite a bounce back . Most of the industry had feared that the pandemic would suppress demand and lead to a prolonged recession , but thankfully the reverse happened . With fabricators hitting an all-time high in product demand , it ’ s fair to say that the industry ’ s bounce back brought its own set of challenges .

THE VALUE IN AUTOMATION
I highlighted in 2020 the fact that automated machinery was an essential tool in coping with socially distanced working . Its other superb strength is its ability to help fabricators ramp up production very quickly without compromising on quality . For both these reasons , we had an exceptionally busy year . We recognised that we needed to keep lead times as rapid as possible to support fabricators in handling their surge in order demand . Fortunately , our new purpose-built factory in Istanbul , Turkey , allowed us to rapidly increase our manufacturing output and improve machine order turnaround more than ever before . We even held certain popular automated machines in stock for rapid delivery . We also took on new members of staff in the past year and they are indispensable in helping us keep pace with demand without compromising on service .
NOW OFFERING THE INDUSTRY ’ S MOST COMPREHENSIVE MACHINE PORTFOLIO
Away from the pandemic , we will be continuing to focus on business development and growth this year . We were proud to launch an exclusive supply partnership with Graf Synergy last year . It has an outstanding product offering for both aluminium and PVC-U fabrication . It is perhaps best known

customers are keen to offer the stateof-the-art in high end seamless weld products that tap into the trend for higher value products

for its world class seamless welding technology and patented welding techniques which increase fabrication efficiency and product quality . As we expected , the partnership is proving very popular – customers are keen to offer the state-of-the-art in high end seamless weld products that tap into the trend for higher value products .
The partnership also means we now offer the industry ’ s most comprehensive machinery portfolio . Combined with our commitment to value-added service that focuses on building long-term relationships with our customers , it ’ s helping to cement our reputation as the go-to machinery experts .
AN AWARD-WINNING END TO THE YEAR
After such an intense year last year , we were delighted to win Best Machinery Company at the National Fenestration Awards 2021 . The team worked so hard and it was great to see their efforts
recognised . The award means a lot because it ’ s voted for by the industry , so was a vote of recognition by our peers and colleagues . It was back-to-back wins for us too , which was another feather in the cap . Rest assured , we ’ ll be doing our best to make it three in a row this year .
SEE YOU AT FIT ?
As we head into 2022 , we ’ re very much looking forward to seeing colleagues and customers in person again at the rescheduled FIT Show . We ’ ll have the largest stand in the event ’ s history and at 405 sq ft it will mean we can display our widest ever machine range that will be suitable for all sizes of fabrication . Our talented sales and technical team will also be on hand to answer any questions and demonstrate the machines ’ capabilities . It will be the first UK flagship event to reconnect the market and we can ’ t wait to see you there .
