Two-week lead time maintained despite supply chain disruption

» WHILE COMPANIES ACROSS THE industry have had to extend lead times due to supply chain chaos , SupaLite has maintained its two-week lead time for customers .
The leading conservatory roof manufacturer has managed to continue to provide excellent service levels while bringing in an influx of new business and enquiries .

GAI makes FIT Show 2022 debut

» THE GUILD OF Architectural Ironmongers ( GAI ) is set to debut at FIT Show 2022 when the UK ’ s premiere glass and glazing trade event returns to the NEC ( May 10-12 ). GAI is the only trade body in the UK that represents the interests of the whole architectural ironmongery industry ; architectural ironmongers , wholesalers and manufacturers .
As well as having a physical presence at FIT Show , with a dedicated meeting space for its 700 plus members , the GAI ’ s will also contribute to FIT Show ’ s CPD learning programme . Its experts will deliver seminars and participate in panel debates covering legislation , regulations and standards governing the use of architectural ironmongery and related hardware .

» DISTINCTION DOORS HAS WELcomed Cllr Tim Cheetham , Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture to its Tankersley site in Barnsley in recognition of its ability to embrace automation to increase business productivity .
With the assistance of Enterprising Barnsley , the business support arm of Barnsley Council , Distinction Doors has benefited from Lean factory planning and manufacturing process improvement support to develop its facility to work efficiently as possible , increase profit margins and create over 40 new jobs within the last three years .
Speaking at the visit , Cllr Cheetham said : “ We ’ re delighted to see the investment that Distinction Doors have made into their facility . What they have managed to achieve is fantastic for them but fantastic for the borough as they ’ ve created so many jobs for people .”
