NEW TRANSPORT MANAGER FOR FASTER ORDER VISIBILTY
» NICK CRADDOCK HAS JOINED Quickslide as its new Transport Manager , with responsibility for all aspects of the awardwinning doors and windows manufacturer ’ s transport functions .
As well as taking over the day-to-day management of Quickslide ’ s vehicles and drivers , Nick will be overseeing fleet compliance , route planning and , crucially , ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in full to customers who are kept up-to-date with accurate information on when to expect their orders .
Nick , who has 20 years ’ experience as a Transport Manager in various sectors including distribution , pallet networks and production companies , says : “ My priority is also to increase our use of IT on the road . For example , using vehicle tracking linked to order profiles , in conjunction with rolling out digital handheld devices , so we can provide even greater – and faster – visibility to customers regarding the status of their orders .”
Quickslide ’ s Managing Director , Ben Weber , said : “ Nick ’ s role will be vital . Sharing updates regarding deliveries as and when they happen is crucial for our customers of course , as it also helps them communicate better with their customers too .”

BDM JOINS ‘ STRONG BRAND ’ WITH 18 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Vicki has more than 18 years ’ experience working within the architectural ironmongery industry . She has previously worked for Union , Yale and Alpro Hardware , and joins HOPPE ( UK ) from Strand Hardware where she was area manager for just under two years .
Vicki said : “ As part of my role working with national accounts , I ’ ll be supporting builders ’ merchants to help them find the right products for their customers ; territory I ’ m very familiar with from past roles .
