Reinvesting back into business

» AT ORIGIN , WE PRIDE ourselves on consistently delivering the best products and service to our Partners . We achieve this by constantly reinvesting back into the business and innovating to find new ways of making our Partner ’ s lives easier .
In practice , the support we offer our Partners is wide ranging . For example , we recently launched a webinar series to accompany our bespoke Partner training programme . Here , our Partners can keep up to date on our products without the need to travel . We also launched another best-on-the-market product , the OS-29 sliding door system , which features the slimmest sightlines of any semi-dry glaze system in the UK . Plus , we established an Origin Commercial Department to strengthen the offering we can provide to our Partners looking to secure larger projects .
The last 18 months have been up and down , not just because of the pandemic , but also Brexit . Across the country , there have been delays in production and shortages of materials which has been dangerous for many
working in the fenestration industry . It means that some suppliers are working to four-month lead times with delivery delayed until after Christmas . These problems are all encompassing too . Not being able to deliver on time not only means that cashflow is impacted , but also that future jobs must be turned down due to capacity limitations and ultimately company reputation may be damaged . None of which is good for business .
It ’ s therefore critical to us as a valued supplier that we remain reliable for our Partners and that we keep it ‘ business as usual ’. To ensure this happens , we recently invested in a 55,000ft 2 warehouse facility in Bicester . Affectionately known as the Ark , the new investment increases our storage capacity by a staggering 87 percent . On top of this , our storage and stock have been moved to the Ark which enables our production facilities to expand further . Not only are we storing more , but we are manufacturing more too .
Investing heavily in our supply chain , stock , and production means we can feel confident in our ability to weather any future uncertainty . The Ark means we can maintain our manufacturing excellence because we have more capacity to store materials and stock , ensuring our Partners receive the very best , every time .
Given our business is founded on the promise that our Partners will never miss an install date , we have worked incredibly hard to get into a position where we are not impacted by material shortages and we can continue to deliver on time , in full . In turn , our Partners can continue to meet
the industry ’ s demand , complete projects for homeowners and compete for new business .
The pandemic and Brexit have proven a difficult time for many . At Origin , despite the uncertainty , we continue to work tirelessly to find new ways of adapting and innovating to deliver our gold standard service to our Partners . Our investment in the Ark is just the latest demonstration of our commitment to them .
