ONGOING ENHANCEMENT TO ‘ INTEGRAL PART OF THE HOUSE ’

A new 25 ° fixed angle soffit ring beam option provides a traditional overhang soffit appearance that can match homeowners ’ properties to create seamless integration . Soffit ring beams fully complement fascia boards and guttering to suit the home . They can be fitted with one of the four current tile options : SlateSkin , steel , composite slate , and Envirotile and are available in a broad range of colours .
The additional soffit surface area now provides the option to be specified with external downlighters . The lights can be installed as either a cool or warm white and can be matched with a twilight sensor , which turns the lights on automatically as natural light fades . Downlighters can add atmosphere and a sense
of mood to spaces and enhance the appeal of the conservatory ‘ outside , inside ’ effect .
The Equinox warm tile roof range can now also be paired with Envirotile - Eurocell ’ s precision manufactured recycled polymer tile that provides a solid tiled roof solution with reduced environmental impact . Manufactured in the UK using 75 % recycled content , Envirotile is a sustainable choice , and the lightweight composition means roofs can be transformed without delay .
Envirotile is available in two finish effect options - a textured finish and a slateeffect finish . Extremely simple to fix with exceptional performance characteristics , it locks into adjacent tiles to form a fully integrated roof covering and can be used on roof pitches as low as 12.5 degrees .

GGF , Fensa and BFRC Launch New Recycling Scheme
» THE GLASS & GLAZING FEDERATION ( GGF ) together with two brands from its Commercial Division FENSA and BFRC , has partnered with Middlesbrough-based window and door recycling specialist , CNC Recycling , to launch a new PVC-U recycling scheme for installers and manufacturers .
The new scheme will initially be rolled out across Scotland , Wales and the North and Midlands of England , with plans to expand throughout the UK as demand increases . GGF Members together with FENSA and BFRC approved installers and manufacturers , can book to have de-glazed old frames and offcuts collected from site free of charge and taken away to be recycled .
FENSA Head of Membership , Chris Beedel , said : “ As a society , we are all becoming increasingly concerned by the impact of plastic waste on the environment , so diverting window and door frames from landfill with this scheme will not only save installers the significant cost of skip hire , but it will also be an attractive proposition for environmentally conscious consumers . FENSA are delighted to move forward with this scheme in partnership with CNC Recycling . It will certainly be of huge benefit to the installers and manufacturers who participate .”
BFRC Operations Director , Lis Clarke , said : “ Offering a free service to our clients that helps both their business and the environment is a win , win scenario for the industry . In addition , scheme participants will receive a certificate at the end of the year , recording the amount of waste material they have recycled via the initiative . The vast majority of materials recycled will remain in the industry to create new fenestration products .
Once collected , the end-of-life PVC-U windows , door frames and virgin offcuts are re-processed to produce a recycled pellet , from which new PVC-U products may be directly manufactured or combined with virgin material to make new , bar-length PVC-U profiles for example . Thus the ‘ circular economy ’ is completed whilst diverting old frames from landfill and significantly increasing the sustainability of the PVC-U fenestration industry .
