» I ’ M SURE THE IDEA OF STARTING A business just before the global pandemic would put doubts in many minds , but for us at 6 Day Doors , the past 12 months couldn ’ t have gone better .
As a specialist supplier of aluminium bi-folds and patio doors , we started the business as part of Essex-based construction powerhouse the Chigwell Group , who also own Chigwell Window Centre , Chigwell Construction , and Chigwell Heating .
Soon after we opened , a national lockdown forced us to close our doors , but since then , business has been booming , and we even went on to launch two outstanding aluminium products .
As a result of lockdown , millions of people were forced to stay indoors and sacrifice pricey foreign holidays , instead spending their money on home improvements , which saw the industry experience a boom in sales .
And as working from home has become the norm for many , the demand for home offices and garden rooms has spiked – people want their surroundings to be as comfortable and aesthetically pleasing as possible .
One material that has done particularly well is aluminium – with its strength , durability , and slimline aesthetics which allow homeowners to let in as much natural light as possible , it ’ s been the product of choice for many across the country .
