A bright future for fenestration

» JANUARY HAS THAT SPECIAL ABILITY TO feel like six or more weeks of incredibly fast-moving days . For many , every night we ask ourselves ‘ where has the day gone ?’, yet lament ‘ how is it still only Tuesday ?’ The first month of 2021 has been very colourful indeed - red passports will no longer be issued ( where would we be going anyway ?), Blue Monday came and went , there were some extremely grey every-other-days , and a very orange man waved Good-Biden to the White House .
But , we made it to February , as we always do , and judging by many - in fact , the majority - of the articles in this very magazine , people are looking forward to the rest of the year , rather than dwelling on the past .
The level of investment announcements in machinery , transportation , and new factories , for instance - across the whole sector - serves only to encourage and inspire . Financial advancement in these areas , of course , then leads to design and development of new products - as seen throughout the magazine you are about to read ; doors , windows , roofs , hardware , in all their many forms . Companies take on new staff , at very level - the Movers & Shakers - to ensure these products get made , get to the right people and places , on time and in volume .
The whole chain continues not only to keep sustaining itself , it is evolving and expanding ; nurturing and nourishing new areas - each new part supporting and strengthening those that come before it and after it .
Add to that the companies that help us market our brands and businesses on and offline ; software and social media , billboards and brochures , events and exhibitions , associations and organisations - our own magazines that land on your doormat and in your inbox - with unwavering regularly , what a bright and vibrant industry we find ourselves in .
There were dark times indeed in 2020 , and we are by no means out of them entirely , but the light at the end of the tunnel is surely in sight , and from fabricator to fitter , systems house to supplier , manufacturer to machinist , designer to delivery driver , we ’ ll all on the right track , and the same track .
What are you doing to help fenestration ’ s brighter future ? Please get in touch .
See you next time , Gemma , Editor
