» VICTORIAN SLIDERS , THE leading manufacturer of PVC-U sliding sash windows , have announced that they are operating as normal during the second national lockdown , and continuing to deliver sash windows across the UK .
The company has invested over £ 15k in a high-tech COVID-19 prevention system , which passed with flying colours after a recent safety check by the local authority . The system includes heat sensor cameras , facial recognition cameras , and a QR scanner questionnaire .
According to Group Managing Director Andy Jones , the company will continue to put safety at the very heart of their operations .
“ Companies that sit within the construction and manufacturing industries have been given the green
|
light by the Government to trade as normal – as long as it ’ s in a COVID secure manner – so for us it ’ s very much ‘ business as usual .’
“ Ultimately , the safety of our staff , customers , suppliers and partners is our number one priority , and we have invested heavily in this area to ensure we protect everyone whilst continuing to offer the same level of quality and service that our
|
customers have come to expect .”
For anyone that visits the Victorian Sliders HQ , the COVID secure measures are easy to spot . The firm has set up a large marquee outside the factory where all employees and visitors must undergo several checks before they are allowed into the main building . This includes an automated temperature check ,
|
facial recognition for all employees , and a comprehensive Covid-19 questionnaire for everyone . Anyone who fails to meet the required criteria are instructed not to come into work and to seek assistance from the company ’ s HR department . The same temperature check is also repeated at the end of the day .
Andy Jones concludes : “ This latest lockdown presents us with a new challenge , but here at Victorian Sliders , we are doing everything in our power to meet the strong market demand and support our customers with their sash window projects . We wish all our customers and the wider industry the very best during this time and hope everyone stays safe .”
