Jason Wilder that he had chosen the right
machinery partner for his new fabrication
business, Spectral Windows.
Working from home, the team from
Emmegi (UK) was able to source the Precision
TS2 cutting centre from its Italian HQ and
arrange safe delivery direct to Spectral’s East
Midlands factory within just a few days of
the order being placed, making sure that the
company was ready to open its doors as soon
as lockdown was over.
Jason said: “We’ve invested in machines
which we know will give us the capacity to
meet our ambitious expansion plans and
will give us both the performance and the
reliability we will need to meet the very
specific demands of the trade market.
“The PVC-U saws we had bought and
paid for way back in January got well and
truly stuck with a different supplier during
the lockdown, but Emmegi (UK) pulled
out all the stops for us and got our saw to us
within a week. That gave us a real head start
in terms of getting our aluminium production
up and running. And, as a result, when it
came to ordering the machining centre to
work alongside the new saw, there was no
question that we would choose Emmegi (UK)
again and we went for a Phantomatic M4 to
complete our set up.”
The Precision TS2 and Phantomatic M4 are
a popular combination for fabricators because
they use the same software and operator
interface.
The 3-axis Precision TS2 offers angled
cutting to 45° inwards and 15° outwards, and
a patented innovation by Emmegi achieves
both virtual rotation of the cutting units
on the saw and absolute rigidity so that
positioning and profile blocking are always
accurate.
The Phantomatic M4 is a 4-axis machining
centre featuring a high torque electro spindle
which continuously rotates from 0° to 180°
to machine on three sides of a section up to
170mm x 210mm. It can work with bars up
to 4m long, with a moving work plane which
makes loading and unloading easier.
