To accelerate this journey, Victorian Sliders ® partnered with Spring Environmental, a sustainability consultancy with deep technical knowledge across all aspects of carbon measurement, reporting, and reduction strategies. This partnership has been instrumental in embedding best practice from the outset, ensuring that each step towards Net Zero is aligned with international standards and built on solid data.
By combining Victorian Sliders ®’ commitment to transformation with Spring Environmental’ s technical sustainability expertise, the company has been able to move faster and with greater confidence towards its 2026 Net
Zero target. This collaborative approach demonstrates how partnership and knowledge-sharing can turn ambitious sustainability goals into achievable outcomes.
As a result, we have been active in three core areas: Systems and Compliance, Energy Management, and Product Environmental Impact.
Systems and Compliance
• Developing an ISO 14001 compliant Environmental Management System to complement the Health and Safety and Quality Management Systems. We expect to achieve certification in late 2025.
• Upgrading our environmental exemptions to full environmental permits to allow increased use of recycled PVC-U in our products which we are aiming to achieve in early 2026.
Energy Management
• Undertaking detailed energy audits of our production site to generate an energy efficiency action plan covering buildings and fleet. We have achieved all our 2025 objectives, except for one, which is currently ongoing.
• Installed energy sub-meters on all major production equipment so we can monitor and take action to reduce consumption.
• Exploring the potential for solar photovoltaics at Capel Hendre to supply zero carbon electricity.
Product Environmental Impact
• The optical sorter and granulation equipment will allow us to significantly increase the recycled PVC-U content of our products, reducing our reliance on fossil fuel-derived materials and supporting new market opportunities in sectors with high sustainability requirements such as the social housing sector.
• Reviewing the potential for our products to have an eco-label to reflect their recycled material content.
