EDITORS NOTE
I will never forget it. While sitting at a carpet
cleaning convention dinner with my son, Tre and
several industry big wigs, an industry magazine
editor turned to Tre and I and said “Rob, we had
a 3 page article set to go to press when it was
suddenly pulled. Taken back we asked why? He
said “because ya’ll have grown too fast and we
don’t want our loyal readers to know about you.
Right then and there I realized that we don’t get
the truth we deserve from industry media. They
only give us what they want us to know. We
realized that money decided what was printed

mentioned that TMF wants to offer a refreshing
approach to the industry we love. This doesn’t
mean that we are perfect but we try to get the
info out as perfect as possible. At times we may
need re-adjusting and welcome this.

in the schooling and certifying institution for the
cleaning industry. We had a lot of facts correct.
We made the point that there is a new team of

received a letter and it pointed out where we
were right and a few places we could make an
adjustment. I really like the letter and the tone
it took. This new group seems focused on not
only solving the past abuses but moving forward
to make this a great industry. We decided to
publish the letter because we want to be fair even
acknowledging if we had some areas that we
needed adjustment on.
We like it when people don’t beat around the
bush and work hard to change the percepti
