Now onto the questions; As a person who has a trade, who is the best point of contact at a real estate office? If you were to go into a Real Estate office most likely you will be greeted by someone at the front desk. I would introduce yourself and ask to make an appointment with the owner or partner of the business. What should we have with us? Have with you a one page print out of what your business does and bullet points of how your company can be of help to that Real Estate FEATURE Company its salespeople and their customers and clients. What would impress you on the first visit, would you like a gift? A gift , we call them pop bys, a business card and something attached to it that will make them remember you. It could be a sample of a brand name (your company name) carpet spot remover that your company uses for instance that might say “ We are spot on” and your business info, company name, phone number, email, address and contact person. You want something that the company will remember you by, not what everyone else brings, donuts and cookies. Show you are creative and want the business. Do you have business meetings where we can come in and give a presentation to talk about our serves? If so what really impress you about other service companies. Ask to come to one of their company meetings, most have them once a week or once a month. Ask to get on their preferred vendors list. Like bankers, mortgage leaders, attorneys, home inspectors that they work with and now and trust to give out to their customers and clients. Starbucks or gas cards are always popular to give out at these meetings. You could have a trivia questions and answer on carpet cleaning and give out a few. 9
