When I told Industry Leader Dusty Roberts of Rug Badger Equipment that he said I was way too high. So I challenged him to track the rugs at his rug washing spa. After two weeks he got back to me and said I was low, at his shop he was averaging 87% or almost 9 out of 10 had pet contamination and most of it was urine. Customers won’t admit it, rug washers won’t admit it and the dogs and cats are not saying anything but the overwhelming reason people get their rugs washed is PISS. In-Spa rug washing runs $3 to $4.50 a square foot nationally. (Believe it or not it is usually the small or rural markets that get $4 to $4.50) So if you wash a 9 by 12 room size rug you get from $324 to $486 for that rug.
