Meade has over 30 years of experience in legislative , regulatory , political and public affairs strategy . Prior to joining Prime Policy Group ’ s predecessor firm , BKSH & Associates , he served for 14 years with House Budget Committee Chairman Jim Nussle ( R-IA ). As Chief of Staff to the House Budget Committee , he was the Committee ’ s principal liaison to the House Leadership , the Administration , and all committees of the House of Representatives .
CLDA Magazine recently sat down with him to talk about the association ’ s long-term relationship with him and how his firm serves as an advocate and resource for the association .
CLDA Mag : Tell us about what your firm does for CLDA , and the kinds of issues Prime helps the association deal with .
Meade : We help them manage all of their interactions with the federal government , both on Capitol Hill and with the federal agencies . We provide assistance on ways that the association can position themselves and talk through messaging . We advise them on ways to communicate to the various audiences on the issues that impact CLDA members . In addition , we help them arrange meetings in DC as well as working with them to frame their messages during those meetings .
