CLDA Attends ECA Marketplace
It was a successful event ! CLDA signed up three new members and renewed one member on the spot . Many expressed interest and asked staff to follow up after the event to learn more .
They even had time to have a little fun . Each year , the event hosts an evening featuring “ Carrieoke ,” a charitable event fondly honoring the memory of its president , Carrie Ehlers . The Carrie Ehlers Memorial Scholarship Fund awards two $ 1,500 scholarships to deserving female students . CLDA members and staff joined the action with a rousing rendition of “ Friends in Low Places ” by Garth Brooks . They all declared they would be keeping their day jobs !
CLDA was well-presented at the 2023 ECA Marketplace , April 24-26 , in San Antonio , Texas . Both members and staff were in attendance to take in two and half days of meetings , networking , and a little bit of “ Carrieoke .” While members met with assigned appointments throughout the day , CLDA Interim Executive Director Mark McSweeney , CAE , and Director of Marketing Amanda Cook hosted the CLDA booth .
CLDA and ECA continue to collaborate for the overall betterment of the industry . These two leading organizations swap booths each year and work together throughout the year on critical government affairs issues and other trending topics impacting the industry . We look forward to working together on behalf of the industry . CLDA
During the more than 40 appointments at the booth , staff engaged with existing members to learn more about what they get out of CLDA and how they utilize their membership . Even better , they got to talk to many potential members to give them more information and answer questions about how the CLDA can benefit their companies .
