CLDA ’ s Enthusiastic Reception at the 2023 AirCargo Conference
CLDA received enthusiastic support for the association ’ s recent lobbying efforts on behalf of the industry at the 2023 AirCargo Conference in Nashville in February . It was sponsored by a partnership of the Air Forwarders Association , the Air & Expedited Motor Carriers Association and the Airports Council International . There were over a thousand attendees who participate in the movement of air cargo in the air and on the ground . For first and final mile companies it was a great opportunity to seek new business and visit with existing freight forwarding clients .
Perrothers and Camargo see their success at the event as an important step toward bringing together all those interested in the transportation of air cargo . “ Education and advocacy for the logistics industry sparks conversation and interest among all of us involved in air cargo . We see this as a significant step in advancing our shared interests in this industry ,” said Perrothers . CLDA
CLDA Board members Ralph Perrothers and Lorena Camargo staffed the CLDA booth and were encouraged by the reception they received from those attending the show . “ There was considerable support for our TSA lobbying efforts from members of the Air Forwarders Association and the Air & Expedited Motor Carriers Association ,” said Perrothers . “ They were particularly interested in our work related to the Self-Managed Agent program .”
“ It was great to represent our local courier and air courier members and see how instrumental our role is in the global supply chain ,” said Camargo .
