Today ’ s workforce is totally different than it was five years ago . They look for work / life balance and flexibility . They look for a level of respect and how they ’ re treated on the job is so important .
We did a survey at the end of the pilot , and the customers gave us 10s across the board for quality , communication and oversight . Our Pros also rated the work experience they had with our customers and the Task4Pros management team . They gave them 9s and 10s when it came to how they were treated , the rate of pay they received and the level of communication and the overall experience they had working for Task4Pros .
CLDA Mag : You also told me your Pros were getting the jobs done more efficiently .
Moyer : Yes . For example , we had a customer who needed to fill 10 positions . About two weeks into the assignment our Pros were getting it done a couple hours earlier than expected . I reached out to the client and said , “ Help me understand what ’ s going on . Are you not getting as many trucks up on your dock as you expected or receiving the number of pieces you thought you would ?” They said no , the number of trucks and the pieces were what they expected . “ The only thing we can conclude ,” they told is , “ Is that your guys are more efficient and getting the job done faster than what we normally experience .”
CLDA Mag : What else qualifies your approach as an innovation ?
Moyer : We have a rating system where our clients provide feedback on our Pros . Those receiving the higher ratings from our customers get the opportunity to accept that client ’ s jobs first . The client gets that preferred proven workforce instead of a constant turnover of random workers . This provides consistency , sustainability and a level of certainty that customers are missing in today ’ s environment .
CLDA Mag : How does this innovation benefit those in the last-mile space ?
Moyer : A lot of companies in the final-mile space are doing warehousing because they were forced into it to meet customer needs . Many didn ’ t realize the amount of energy , effort and resources they would need to put into the warehouse component of their businesses . It ’ s much more significant than they expected , and it ’ s taking away from their core competencies .
Bringing in a company like Task4Pros will help them manage those challenges because we provide dashboards , KPIs and even recommendations . With that done , they ’ re able to redirect their resources and refocus on their core competencies and growth strategies . It means they can get back to what they ’ re good at , and gain efficiencies in an area that historically has been challenging .
CLDA Mag : Where do you see this going ?
Moyer : Even though the company is four years old in Brazil ( there are 38,000 + -plus Pros on the platform ), you could call the expansion in the U . S . a startup . But I will tell you that with the number of companies I ’ m talking with and the opportunities on the horizon , I see unlimited potential . We expect things to happen quickly in the continental U . S . I fully expect to develop strong market share between now and the end of 2023 . I also expect Task4Pros to explode in 2024 .
CLDA Mag : If you were to summarize why this is an innovative solution to a problem , what would that problem be ? How would you define it in shorthand ? Why are you necessary ?
Moyer : Flexibility . We provide a flexible workforce for companies to be able to scale up and down as needed and be sustainable in the market and improve profitability . It takes the headaches out of keeping warehouses running to meet the dynamic demands of today ’ s supply chain . It also provides our Pros with opportunities that have been customized to meet the needs of today ’ s workforce . CLDA spring 2023 I customized logistics & delivery Magazine 39
