I want to conclude this letter on a personal note . CLDA recently lost an important member of our family , Randy Edmonds , who passed away in early August . Randy was a Partner and Executive Vice President at ADL Final Mile . But he was so much more than that . In his 30 + years in the transportation and trucking industry , Randy was an executive , a mentor and , for me , someone who never said no to a request to help our association and our industry . He served on the CLDA Board of Directors from 2019 to 2023 and continued his contributions by leading the Shipper Committee after his board tenure . His unwavering commitment to the industry will be a significant part of his legacy , which will continue to live on through the family he cherished and the success he helped cultivate within his companies . When I think of Randy , I picture him in his cowboy shirt wearing a smile . Our condolences go out to his family , partners , industry colleagues and anyone Randy touched with that big , open smile . We will miss him .
Warmest regards , Joel Pinsky , President
