WEDNESDAY
What happens when you put together over 400 carriers , vendors and industry thought leaders at a conference in Las Vegas ? A lot of business , plenty of connections , a boatload of knowledge and maybe – just maybe – some fun .
That was the recipe for this year ’ s Final Mile Forum at Caesar ’ s Palace , which ran from Feb . 13 to 16 . First-timer Pamela Beaty , President of BrickScale Up Concept , summed it up this way : “ Coming to this conference was the best decision I ’ ve made in my life . The net worth of being here is beyond the money that I paid to come . It was a life-changing decision for me . And I foresee myself in the very near future as a multimillionaire just because of this conference !”
WEDNESDAY

Feb 14

The three-day event kicked off with a choice of leisure activities . Some 41 golfers hit the links at the Revere Golf Club bright and early on February 14 . The shotgun-start round included lunch and awards . Golfers purchased mulligans with the proceeds going to the CLDA Scholarship fund . The event was sponsored by Blaze Express Courier Services , Capstone Logistics and Custom Courier Solutions .

Those interested in learning more about the area signed up for a tour of Hoover Dam . Participants saw the historic structure from the 900-foothigh Mike O ’ Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge and visited the charming old town of Boulder City .
All returned to Caesar ’ s Palace in time for the New Attendee Reception and Shipper Meet &
Greets . For those taking part in the New Attendee Reception there was a chance to connect with their own Ambassadors . The Ambassadors gave first-timers ways they could make the most of the conference and offered introductions to those they wanted to connect with . The reception included tips on networking and a chance to try out those networking skills with others attending their first conference . The highlight of the reception was remarks by Noah Alvarez from Alvy Delivers who talked about the impact of his first conference in 2022 when he was a new member of the association .
Then it was on to the Opening Reception where all conference participants got their first look at the Exhibit Hall and the opportunity to network with new and old friends . Conference Chair Tom Jowers welcomed them to the Final Mile Forum and Las Vegas , promising the next few days would turbo-charge their businesses , help expand their capabilities and strengthen their relationships with those in the final-mile .
