(CB) How was the decision made
to have it in Amsterdam?
(GC) It’s strange how many
times I am asked that question,
particularly by Dutch friends.
Amsterdam is the perfect choice.
We wanted an international city,
located within a historically important ceramic culture. It needed to
have easy access to other European
centers and have a world-class
congress center. The host country
also needed to be one that is supportive of the arts and on this level
the Netherlands is the unchallenged leader in Europe. The fact
that the Dutch are so hospitable
and that most speak English (the
official language of the symposium) was the clincher.
(CB) When and how can we register to attend?
(GC) Registration is simple;
however, it does not begin until
April 1, 1998. If you live outside
the United States you will register
with Eurocongress in Amsterdam
(J. van Goyenkade 11, 1075 HP
Amsterdam).
