Check out this department in each issue of Clay Times for recipes covering glazes, slips,
and clay bodies for all types of firing. Recipes are given in percentages (by weight,
preferably grams) so you can mix a small batch for testing purposes. If you like what
you see, multiply each gram percentage by 40 for a batch that will fill a 5-gallon storage bucket. Base glaze recipes can be colored with oxides or stains, if desired. Test
each glaze first, since results will vary with different clay bodies and firing conditions!
