Revolutionary Homage to Comrade B.Timma Reddy A leader of CPI (ML) in Anantapur district and the Vice president of Rytu Cooli Sangham (AP) comrade B.timma Reddy died of heart attacl at the age of 76 years. We share our greif with his family members. He was born in a peasant family of Godiselapalli village in 1942. After compleating his studies he joined as a teacher. He was active member of Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation, the first teachers union in the state, and acted as its district president for some years. He lead many struggles of teachers for the betterment of their service conditions. Where ever he worked, he had mingles with local people and responded to their problems. He was loved by the people as he teach their children in an ideal manner. Inspired by the revolutionary politics he joined CPI(ML) in 1977 and took up democratic rights front as his field of work. He joined Organisation for the Protection of Democratic Rights (OPDR) and stood by the side of peasants in their struggle for land and against atrocities committed by the feudal lords in the district. The state government suspended him from the service for his political activities. He fought a legal battle and got reappointed. He was arrested on many occasions but never wavered from his commitment. After retirement, he took active part in RCS(AP) and became its state Vice President. He lead many a struggle of peasants and semi-urban poor in Rayadurgam arera in the district. CPI (ML) pays revolutionary homage the the departed leader, Comrade B. Timma Reddy. In his death we lost a peoples leader and an indomitable fighter the rights of people. Red Salute to Comrade B.Timma Reddy! The General Secretary of PCC, CPI(ML) Com. Vaskar Nandy passed away on the morning of May 4, 2018 suffering from cancer, He was 80 years old. Born on April 5, 1938, Nandy, who obtained a chemical engineering degree from London University, went to the US to pursue his post-graduation. He also taught sociology in Columbia University before joining the Communist Revolutionary movement in 1967 He took charge of the Communist Revolutionary movement in Assam. After disintegration CPI (ML), Nandy reorganised the movement in Assam, Tripura and parts of Bihar and Bengal by forming the unity committee. Despite his old age and ill health, Com. Nandy worked to organize tea plantation workers in Assam and North Bengal. CPI(ML) pays its homage to Com.
