Many people consider that to know English, it is only necessary to know grammar and vocabulary, forgetting an important aspect like the pronunciation, if the sound of a word is not well said , recipients will not understand the message and there will be complications in communication. Many misunderstandings are due to bad pronunciation or intonation, for example, you mean number six, but by your bad pronunciation you say sick or you want to say to someone "I want an ice cream," but by your poor pronunciation you say ‘’I want to scream’’, some native Englishman will probably mock you and you’ll need someone else to communicate

To improve your pronunciation you have to train your vocal cords, with basic exercises you can do at home: Record yourself as you speak and then compare your pronunciation in English with that of a native of the language, stand in front of a mirror and watch your lips put on, mouth or tongue, you can sing an easy song and then go up the difficulty, speaking often with a loud voice also helps. This whole process must be constant and disciplined, you will not have good pronunciation overnight, so relax and practice daily.

You can practice with videos like this

Knowing that we pronounce correctly gives us confidence. When we know we have a good pronunciation we want to talk and interact more with people as we feel comfortable talking. Also people have a positive concept of those who have a good pronunciation. In a job interview, they tend to pay more attention to those with better pronunciation, which is an advantage in the labor market. All these reasons show that pronunciation is important, so do not stop practicing and speak English at all times.
