CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT 1 | Página 10

ASSESSMENT

The main objective of the evaluation in the classroom is to gather information about students and use it to promote and facilitate learning (Reynolds, Livingston and Willson, 2006; Stiggins et al., 2007). This implies that to determine if the evaluations are valid, it must be verified that they are effectively serving these purposes (Brookhart and Nitko, 2007). According to Reynolds, Livingston and Willson (2006) the main purposes of classroom assessments are the following: to improve the student's learning process, align the evaluation with the teaching process and help teachers to be more effective and they can take corrective measures.
