Crossing The Line
The finishing line this year, as mentioned earlier, had been moved to Brighton Racecourse, and while it might not be as aesthetically pleasing as the town’ s Madeira Drive, it did offer much better facilities. The large function room inside the main stand was being used to cater for the crews and the bar was serving hot and cold drinks along with other refreshments. For once, the entrants had somewhere comfortable to sit and a roof over their heads... even if it wasn’ t raining outside!
