Interview

How long have you been teaching equestrianism?

I've started teaching a little bit of equitherapy when I was 18 years old, on my free time. When I got 20 I entered as a student to be a horse riding instructor at the equivalent of the university. I got my instructor's diploma two years later in France, in 2003. I've never stopped teaching and riding since.

What do you like the most about teaching?

There are so many things I love about my job! As a riding instructor we have the particularity to have two living beings with different languages working together trying to find a common language to communicate. What I like the most is to see their evolution as a couple. It is a very difficult sport, that demands a lot of patience, assiduity, obstinacy, courage, and the list can go on and on. You see your student growing as person, gaining self confidence. If he can be able to communicate and dictate his wishes to a 500kgs animal, can you imagine what he can do in life?
