Attendance
Leadership Lakeland requires a serious commitment of time and energy.
Day-long sessions are usually held on the second Thursday of each month.
Attendance is mandatory at the orientation/reception in August, opening retreat
in September, mid-year retreat in January, and closing retreat in May. At least 75
percent attendance is required for the day-long sessions from October through
May in order to graduate from the program. All dates are published in advance
for planning purposes (see the 2020-2021 calender for all dates).
Tuition & Scholarships
Tuition for Chamber members will be $1,950. Tuition for non-members will be
$2,350. Partial scholarships are available. Nominees should contact the Lakeland
Chamber of Commerce at [phone], Ext. 230, for more information and
to receive the scholarship form. Any financial assistance is based upon financial
need. Scholarship applications MUST be turned in with the application by
Thursday, April 30, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
Nominations
- No transfers of the nomination form are permitted.
- Announced political candidates will be excluded from consideration
during the selection process.
- Immediate family members will not be accepted in the same class.
There are several ways a nomination may be made:
- A business/organization may submit a corporate nominee.
- An individual may submit a nominee.
- An individual may self-nominate.

Nominees will receive an application packet via email in early April.
Selections will be made from all applications received. Completion of the application
does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Class size is limited. Individuals
who have not been selected previously are encouraged to reapply. A confidential
Selection Committee will review the applications and select the members of the
2020-2021 Leadership Lakeland class. Decisions will be announced in late June.
