IT FUNDAMENTALS TRAINING PROGRAM
Location: Sonia Gutierrez Campus
Time: Morning( Monday- Friday: 9:00 am- 11:30 am) Evening( Monday- Thursday: 6:00 pm- 8:30 pm)
The IT Fundamentals class is a 5-month program, with 200 hours of classroom instruction, along with virtual labs-simulation and hands-on practice, that prepares students to obtain the CompTIA Tech +, an entrylevel certification in Information Technology( IT). Students learn the fundamentals of computing networks, operating systems, hardware, security, software development and database concepts, cloud computing, and virtualization. Students will also be introduced to IT professionals, a variety of employability skills, and potential IT pathways.
Requirements: Eligible for ESL 8( high intermediate or higher). High school diploma or equivalent. Successful passing of the Northstar MS Word Module assessment with 70 % or higher. Advising session.
