ESL for Families (Includes students eligible for ORI B - Level 2)
The Carlos Rosario School partners with public schools in Washington, DC to provide
tuition-free English classes to parents. Students learn basic English grammar, speaking,
and listening skills, as well as the skills and resources to support their children’s academic
success. Classes are held at the following locations:
Center City-Petworth PCS

ESL 2-4 Arts
ESL 2-4 Arts (levels 2-4)
Location: Harvard Street Campus
Students in this class gain the general reading, writing, listening, and numeracy skills
through project-based learning in the Arts including painting, movement, drama and song.
Field trips to museums, galleries, theaters, etc., allow students to use their English out of
the classroom and to explore new arts spaces.

Intermediate Level English Classes
ESL 4 and 5 Health
Location: Harvard Street Campus
Through this course, students learn how to use the healthcare system by living a healthy
lifestyle, talking to doctors, and exploring jobs in that field. Students gain reading, writing,
listening, speaking, and grammar skills appropriate to their level.
